Gyöngyi Biro
From her native Transylvania, where she begins her activity in the field of Puppet theater and mime, she arrived with her backpack at the International School of Mimodrama of Paris Marcel Marceau, awarded with diploma in 1993. She created then with Sophie Weiss a couple of performances (« The Wardrobe », « The Girandole »).
She joined in 1996 the master Marcel Marceau as her assistant on stage and in Masterclasses held all over the world during 10 years. At the same time, she was part of the New Company of Mimodrama Marcel Marceau, performing in its creations: « The Overcoat », « The Bowler Hat », « Fantastic Tales ».
She pursues a personal activity within the frame of the art association Paolino and Co, creating in 2002 the performance Portable Homeland, with Istvan Bickei, with the support of the Choreographic Centre of Orléans and by coproducing with Aria Teatro a tribute to Marcel Marceau, « The Child of the Paradise », presented in 2008 at the Festival Mimos in Périgueux. In 2010 she coauthored and performed in the theatre creation « Oh, what a world » with Iulian Fortuna.
